The Office for Youth and Young Adults (YYA) was established in August of 2003 to develop programs and greater opportunities for teens and young adults of the Archeparchy to grow in faith and service to the Church and the broader community.
Goals for ministering to teens are:
to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in the world today;
to draw them to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community; and
to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each one, including promoting a Byzantine Catholic identity.
Goals for ministering to young adults are:
to network young adults throughout the Archeparchy;
to provide retreats, workshops and socials;
to establish a presence and programs on college campuses; and
to collaborate with other eparchies in providing activities that will benefit young adults around the Metropolia.
