The Offices for Youth and Young Adults were established in August 2003 to develop programs and greater opportunities for teens and young adults of the Archeparchy to grow in faith and service to the Church and the broader community.
Goals for ministering to teens are:
  • to empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in the world today;
  • to draw them to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community; and,
  • to foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each one, including promoting a Byzantine Catholic identity.
Goals for ministering to young adults are:
  • to network young adults throughout the Archeparchy;
  • to provide retreats, workshops and socials;
  • to establish a presence and programs on college campuses; and
  • to collaborate with other eparchies in providing activities that will benefit young adults around the Metropolitan Church

Camp Nazareth 2011

August
7-12

Camp Nazareth is a popular gathering place for youth of the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh. Its 289 acres of rolling hills and open fields is the perfect setting for the Office of Youth's annual Summer Youth Camp program. Featuring comfortable accommodations, manicured sports courts, a Junior Olympic Swimming Pool, and a beautiful Carpathian-style wooden church, Camp Nazareth is truly the place to be for an "awesome" (and awe-inspiring) summer camp experience! Located in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, minutes from Interstate Routes 79 and 80, Camp Nazareth welcomes campers ages 7-17 to a special week of Eastern Christian fellowship, Aug. 7 thru 12.
