A Special Note to our visitors:
In the Byzantine Church, Holy Communion is given under both species, consecrated bread and wine. It will be helpful to the priest if you tilt your head slightly backwards, open your mouth widely, but DO NOT EXTEND YOUR TONGUE. The priest will use a small golden spoon to place communion in your mouth. We ask that you do not close your lips upon the spoon.
